STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc.

STARFLEET is an international fan club, with chapters located all over the world. Each chapter is unique, yet bound together.

STARFLEET Marine Corps, and the Third Brigade

Picture
For many STARFLEET members, a more military-style experience is preferred. The international organization has an auxiliary department to support that desire.

The SFMC is made up of Brigades, corresponding to Regions. As we are in Region 3, our local Brigade is the Third Brigade.

STARFLEET Region 3

Region 3 of STARFLEET covers the geographical area of Texas and Louisiana. There are currently eighteen other chapters (besides the Kidd) in the Region.

ISS Kidd, Serving the Empire

The ISS Kidd is a Larson-class destroyer in STARFLEET.
Normal assignments include
border patrol, escorting ships through potentially hostile space, and screening larger ships in fleet actions.

Our chapter's fiction places us as part of the Terran Empire, seen in episodes of Star Trek from the Original Series, Deep Space Nine, and Discovery.

The Larson-class ships originally appeared in FASA's Star Trek Roleplaying Game and are (so far) non-canonical. They served Star Fleet at about the same time as  Constitution -class heavy cruisers (like the famous starship Enterprise.)

Current Status
The ISS Kidd launched on 2206.17 (17 June 2022)  is currently recruiting crew during our Shakedown Cruise. Our current crew is geographically diverse, from Lubbock in the west to North Richland Hills in the east, with the Captain currently residing in Wise County -- which means you can join us from anywhere!
